Writing to, and meeting with, our Territory and Federal politicians to tell them about the growing enthusiasm across Canberra communities for home electrification.

Opportunity to grab the Cth Minister for Climate Change and Energy of Australia, Chris Bowen at the Everything Electric expo in Sydney spruiking our work and initiatives to get us to ‘all electric homes
Meeting with ACT’s Chief Minister and Treasurer, Andrew Bar
Meeting with Senator the Jenny McAllister, Cth Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy at Parliament House
Informal catch up with Yvette Berry, ACT Deputy Chief Minister; Member for Ginninderra
Meeting with Shane Rattenbury, ACT Minister for Climate Change and Sustainability; Member for Kurrajong
Meeting with Senator the Katy Gallagher, Cth Minister for Finance; Minister for Women in February; Senator for ACT at Parliament House
Meeting with Dr Andrew Leigh, Cth Assistant Minister for Competition, Charities and Treasury; Member for Fenner

This year, our team:
Met with Chief Minister Andrew Barr, with Parents for Climate CEO, Nic Seton, to draw links between the Real Cost of Living Report and the cost savings and emission reduction with electrifying our homes
Met with Minister Shane Rattenbury and Jo Clay MP
Chatted to Minister Rebecca Vassarotti and talked to Minister Yvette Berry and Minister Mick Gentleman at event stalls where our volunteers championed electrification
Had Minister Emma Davidson join one of a volunteering planning events with a Special Advisor for WA politician
Handed a letter to ACT Senator Katy Gallagher’s office, asking to discuss Federal support for residential electrification
We always love the championing and support of Electrify Canberra by Senator David Pocock: from induction cooktop Asian cooking lessons to holding the Suburb Zero banner
Made a submission to the Senate Inquiry on residential electrification
